"Svetli i strašni gradovi" u X Vitamin galeriji

Umetnica Željka Mićanović Miljković otvorila je 23. aprila 2026. godine samostalnu izložbu „Svetli i strašni gradovi“ u X Vitamin galeriji u Beogradu.

Kroz slike, umetničku knjigu, objekte od keramike i porcelana, kao i video rad, umetnica istražuje grad kao slojeviti prostor sećanja, iskustava i imaginacije.

Grad je centralna tema dugogodišnjeg umetničkog i teorijskog istraživanja autorke, koja je u svojoj doktorskoj disertaciji proučavala ideju idealnog grada kao prostora projekcije želja, moći i imaginacije. U Željkinim radovima gradovi poput Tuzle, Beograda, Rima, Atine, Istanbula ili Ciriha ne pojavljuju se kao prepoznatljive vedute, već kao slojeviti pejzaži iskustva.

Izložba u Beogradu predstavlja i simbolički povratak umetnice u grad njene rane mladosti, susret sa mestima koja su oblikovala njen umetnički pogled na svet. Ovo je prva izložba u kojoj se svi Željkini gradovi susreću.

ŽELJKA MIĆANOVIĆ MILJKOVIĆ - "LUMINOUS AND UNCANNY CITIES"

Artist Željka Mićanović Miljković opened her solo exhibition “Luminous and Uncanny Cities” on April 23, 2026, at the X Vitamin Gallery in Belgrade.

Through paintings, an artist’s book, ceramic and porcelain objects, as well as video work, the artist explores the city as a layered space of memory, experience, and imagination.

The city is the central theme of the artist’s long-standing artistic and theoretical research. In Željka’s works, cities such as Tuzla, Belgrade, Rome, Athens, Istanbul, and Zurich do not appear as recognisable cityscapes, but rather as layered landscapes of experience.

The exhibition in Belgrade also represents a symbolic return of the artist to the city of her early youth—a meeting with places that shaped her artistic view of the world. This is the first exhibition in which all of Željka’s cities come together.
