Y SO SERIOUS? je naziv izložbe četiri umetnika iz Slovenije u galeriji Štab
Tina Dobrajc, Mito Gegič, Arjan Pregl i Sašo Vrabič predstavljaju deo ljubljanske likovne scene koje okuplja galerija Y. Kustoskinje izložbe bile su Ana Kršljanin iz galerije Štab i Maša Žekš iz galerije Y.
Izložba Y SO SERIOUS? predstavlja deo međunarodnih aktivnosti Galerije ŠTAB podržanih od Ministarstva kulture Republike Srbije i Umetničke inicijative KvArt BW; nastavak je saradnje sa Galerijom Y iz Ljubljane, i daje sveobuhvatan prikaz četiri umetnika srednje generacije, koje Galerija Y zastupa.
„Tina Dobrajc, Mito Gegič, Sašo Vrabič i Arjan Pregl imaju potpuno drugačije poetike i pristupe ali ono što zaista objedinjuje radove ova četiri umetnika je zapravo kritička, cinična i ponekad duhovita misao o aktuelnim društvenimdogađajima i redovno pozivanje na širok spektar umetničkih i popularnih referenci.
Svako od autora kroz svoj rad ukazuje na probleme savremenog drzštva kao što su ekološke katastrofe, ratovi, masmediji ali i praznina, otuđenje i konzumerizam.“ – izjavila je jedna od kustoskinja ove izložbe, Ana Kršljanin. Y SO SERIOUS? is the name of the exhibition of four artists from Slovenia in Štab gallery in Belgrade.
Tina Dobrajc, Mito Gegič, Arjan Pregl and Sašo Vrabič represent part of the Ljubljana art scene gathered by Y gallery. The exhibition was curated by Ana Kršljanin from Štab gallery and Maša Žekš from Y Gallery
The exhibition represents part of the international activities of ŠTAB Gallery supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia and the Art Initiative KvArt BW; It is a continuation of the collaboration with Gallery Y from Ljubljana, and gives a comprehensive presentation of four artists of the middle generation, represented by Gallery Y.
„Tina Dobrajc, Mito Gegič, Sašo Vrabič i Arjan Pregl have completely different poetics and approaches, but what really unites the works of these four artists is actually a critical, cynical and sometimes witty thought about current social events and a regular reference to a wide range of artistic and popular references. Through their work, each of the authors points to the problems of the modern state, such as ecological disasters, wars, mass media, but also emptiness, alienation and consumerism," said one of the curators of this exhibition, Ana Kršljanin.
