Likovni svet Natalije Mijatović je industrijski pejzaž, njen konstantni interes za ljudske tvorevine i objekte, čiji identitet karakteriše tiho odsustvo samih ljudi. Ona obitava u nenaseljenim talozima pejzaža, urbane erozije i sivih fasada soc-realističke arhitekture istočne Evrope. Mnogobrojni velovi tankih providnih preliva svode industrijske strukture na patinu taloga, koji prizivaju prostor i vreme. Radove na papiru karakteriše svedena ekonomija linearne mreže, jednostavnog kolorita i prirodnog reljefa papirnog substrata. Brižljivo kultivisane površine slika na drvetu odišu tišinom mirnog vodenog ogledala, bez tragova ljudske ruke..
Natalija Mijatović je rođena 1974 u Beogradu, a živi u Bingamtonu, SAD. Diplomirala je umetnost na Univerzitetu Crne Gore 1997. Magistrirala je slikarstvo na Pensilvanijskoj akademiji lepih umetnosti 2000.

Natalija Mijatovic's artistic world is an industrial landscape, her constant interest in human creations and objects, whose identity is characterized by the quiet absence of people themselves. It dwells in the uninhabited sediments of the landscape, urban erosion and gray facades of the social-realist architecture of Eastern Europe. Numerous veils of thin transparent overlays reduce industrial structures to a patina of sediment, which evokes space and time. The works on paper are characterized by the reduced economy of the linear grid, simple coloring and the natural relief of the paper substrate. The carefully cultivated surfaces of the wood paintings exude the silence of a calm water mirror, without traces of human hands.
Natalija Mijatović was born in 1974 in Belgrade and lives in Binghamton, USA. She graduated in art from the University of Montenegro in 1997. She received her master's degree in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2000.
