Moderna galerija Beograd predstavila je izložbu Milovana Destila Markovića, jednog od najznačajnijih umetnika osamdesetih godina prošlog veka. Destil je jedan je od pionira nove slike u Srbiji i Jugoslaviji i svakako jedan od protagonista duha novog talasa. Osmislio je koncept Transfigurativnog slikarstva.
Na izložbi u Modernoj galeriji Beograd, prikazan je Destilov opus osamdesetih godina, slike koje su bile izlagane u Galeriji SKC-a, na Bijenalu u Veneciji, Trijenalu u Indiji i u Salonu Muzeja savremene umetnosti u Beogradu. Više od 10 izloženih radova, mahom slika velikog formata, rađenih u različitim tehnikama povezuje svojevrsni minimalizam, gde dominira upotreba crne/bitumena i zlatnih listića.
U Destilovoj uzbudljivoj biografiji, pored podatka da je diplomirao na Fakultetu likovnih umetnosti u Beogradu, stoji da je sa Vlastimirom Mikićem organizovao umetnički dvojac – Žestoki, da jeučestvovao na brojnim najznačajnijim međunarodnim smotrama (u Evropi, Aziji, Australiji i Americi), kao i na grupnim i samostalnim izložbama širom sveta, zatim druženje sa velikim umetnicima svog vremena, ali i osnivanje kultnog beogradskog kluba Akademija, upravo sa Vlastom Mikićem, gde je 1985. radio i kao DJ.
Posle nastupa na izložbi Aperto ‘86 u sastavu Bijenala u Veneciji 1986. prelazi u Nemačku, u Berlin gde do danas boravi i radi kao nezavisni umetnik.
De Stilovi radovi su deo brojnih kolekcija širom sveta. Dobitnik je mnogobrojnih nagrada i priznanja, najviše u Nemačkoj i Jugoslaviji – između ostalih, dobitnik je nagrade 24.Oktobarskog salona, 1984.godine i Politikine nagrade 1986.godine (dotadašnji najmlađi dobitnik ove prestižne nagrade), a vredi pomenuti da je i dobitnik stipendije Pollock Krasner Fondacije, Njujork.
Katalog koji je posebno rađen za ovu izložbu potpisuju istoričari umetnosti: prof. dr Ješa Denegri i Danijela Purešević.

Modern Gallery Belgrade presented an exhibition of Milovan Destil Marković, one of the most important artists of the 1980s. Destil is one of the pioneers of the new image in Serbia and Yugoslavia and certainly one of the protagonists of the spirit of the new wave. He came up with the concept of Transfigurative painting.
At the exhibition there were presented paintings that were exhibited in the SKC Gallery, at the Biennale in Venice, the Triennial in India and in the Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade. More than 10 exhibited works, mostly large-format paintings, made in different techniques have certain similarities - minimalism, dominated by the use of black/bitumen and gold leaf.
In Destil's exciting biography, in addition to the information that he graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, it is stated that he and Vlastimir Mikić organized an artistic duo - Zestoki, he also participated in numerous most important international art shows (in Europe, Asia, Australia and America), as well as in group and solo exhibitions around the world. He also has founded the cult Belgrade club Akademija, precisely with Vlasta Mikić, where he also worked as a DJ in 1985.
After his performance at the Aperto '86 exhibition as part of the Venice Biennale in 1986, he moved to Germany, to Berlin, where he still lives and works as an independent artist.
Destil's works are part of many collections around the world. He is the winner of numerous awards and recognitions, mostly in Germany and Yugoslavia - among others, he is the winner of the 24th October Salon award in 1984 and Politika's award in 1986 (the youngest winner of this prestigious award to date), and it is worth mentioning that he is also the winner of a scholarship Pollock Krasner Foundation, New York.
