''KRUG'' LAZARA VOZAREVIĆA
Slika koja je više od 50 godina bila deo kolekcije Dejvida Rokfelera prvi put pred domaćom publikom

U junu 2022. godine, slika Lazara Vozarevića - ''Krug'' vratila se u Beograd i prvi put bila prikazana pred domaćom publikom u okviru izložbe u Modernoj galeriji Beograd. Izložba je organizovana u saradnji sa Galerijom Lazar Vozarević iz Sremske Mitrovice.
Ovo je prvo javno prikazivanje remek-dela pred domaćom publikom, budući da je slika posle izlaganja na 9. Bijenala u Sao Paolu bila otkupljena za kolekciju Davida Rokfelera i provela više od 50 godina u jednoj od najvećih i najznačajnijih kolekcija na svetu.
Slika je monumentalnih dimenzija, 208 x 160cm, rađena u kombinovanoj tehnici ulja na platnu, sa metalnim “pulijama“ koje upravo čine krupnu savršenu kružnu formu u središtu slikanog polja.
Na otvaranju ove izložbe, ispred ulaza u Modernu galeriju Beograd mnogobrojne posetioce je dočekao crveni MGB kabriolet, koji je Vozarević kupio od prodate slike, i koji je vozio Beogradom te 1967.godine. Pored slike koja zauzima dominantnu poziciju u galeriji, predstavljena je i važna(arhivska) dokumentacija i fotografije dobijene od Fondacije Bijenala Sao Paula, Muzeja savremene Umetnosti u Beogradu, Biblioteke grada Beograda, galerije Lazar Vozarević i Ivane Stojanović, ćerke umetnika, koja je prisustvovala i otvaranju ove značajne izložbe.

The painting, which has been part of David Rockefeller's collection for more than 50 years, is being shown to audience in belgrade for the first time
In June 2022, the painting by Lazar Vozarević - "The Circle" arrived to Belgrade and was shown for the first time in front of the local audience as part of the exhibition in the Modern Gallery Belgrade. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Lazar Vozarević Gallery from Sremska Mitrovica.
This is the first public showing of the masterpiece in front of the Serbian audience, since the painting was bought for David Rockefeller's collection after its exhibition at the 9th Biennale in Sao Paulo and spent more than 50 years in one of the largest and most important art collections in the world.
The painting is of monumental dimensions, 208 x 160 cm, made in the combined technique of oil on canvas, with metal "pulleys" that form a large perfect circular shape in the center of the painted field.
At the opening of this exhibition, in front of the entrance to the Belgrade Modern Gallery red MGB convertible was parked, the car Vozarević bought from a sold painting, and which he drove around Belgrade in 1967. Appart from the painting that was placed in dominant position in the gallery, were also presented important (archival) documentation and photographs obtained from the São Paulo Biennial Foundation, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, the City of Belgrade Library, the gallery of Lazar Vozarević and Ivana Stojanović, the artist's daughter. She, as well, arrived at the opening of this significant exhibition.
