YURI LANDMAN U BEOGRADU
Performans u klubu Dim - 22. januar 2023.
Yuri Landman, holandski multidisciplinarni umetnik, rasprodao je koncert u klubu Dim, 22.januara 2023. godine.
Landman je izumitelj eksperimentalnih muzičkih instrumenata, na kojima su svirali veliki svetski bendovi poput Sonic Youth, Half Japanese, Liars, Placebo, Einstürzende Neubauten... Njegov set je mešavina naučno podešenih gudačkih instrumenata kao i object trouvé (pronađeni predmeti) sa posebnim zvucima.
Mnogobrojna publika prisustvovala je fenomenalnom performansu, a njegovi instrumenti zauzeli su celu površinu velikog kružnog pulta kluba Dim. Pesme čudnih dimenzija, koje dolaze iz pojačanih plastičnih flaša, hakovanih hard diskova, hladnjaka kompjuterskih ventilatora, motora, modifikovanih sintisajzera, hakovanih telefona i stonih žičanih instrumenata sa glasnim ritmičkim taktovima, izazvale su prave ovacije publike.
Pored karijere umetnika, Yuri Landman je i dugogodišnji profesor muzikologije i dizajna instrumenata na brojnim univerzitetima u Evropi, ali i autor stripova. Zajedno sa Bartom Hopkinom napisao je knjigu ‘’Nice Noise’’, o inovativnim proširenim tehnikama sviranja gitare. Godine 2022. objavio je svoj najnoviji strip '1991', koji će takođe biti objavljen na srpskom jeziku tokom 2023. godine u izdanju System Comics iz Beograda.
Landman se vratio u Beograd posle 8 godina, kada je nastupio u klubu Drugstore na Resonate festivalu.
Iako je reč o vrlo alternativnom događaju, Yuri Lanman je imao veliko interesovanje medija za svoj nastup.

YURI LANDMAN IN BELGRADE
Yuri Landman, a Dutch multidisciplinary artist, sold out the concert at the Dim club on January 22, 2023.
Landmann is the inventor of experimental musical instruments, which have been played by big world bands like Sonic Youth, Half Japanese, Liars, Placebo, Einstürzende Neubauten… His set is a mixture of scientifically tuned string instruments as well as object trouvé (found objects) with special sounds.
A large audience witnessed the phenomenal performance of Yuri Landman and his instruments occupied the entire surface of the large round desk in Dim club. Songs of strange dimensions, coming from amplified plastic bottles, hacked hard drives, computer fan coolers, motors, modified synthesizers, hacked phones and desktop stringed instruments with loud rhythmic beats, caused a standing ovation from the audience.
Apart from his artist career, Yuri Landman is also a long-time professor of musicology and instrument design at numerous universities in Europe, as well as a comic book author. Together with Bart Hopkins, he wrote the book "Nice Noise", about innovative extended guitar playing techniques. In 2022, he published his latest comic book '1991', which will also be published in Serbian in 2023 by the publisher System Comics from Belgrade.
Landman returned to Belgrade after 8 years, when he performed at the Drugstore club at the Resonate festival.
